The Chili Cookoff is an annual charity event which donates to a number of charities. This year's charities are Columbia's own CAMP KEMO (a program run by Palmetto Health), and The Disabilities Board Of Charleston County. Each year the event becomes larger than the previous year and in the heart of it all are the incredible chefs and cooks who donate their time, ingredients, recipes and talent. Please help the residents of our city and if you decide to participate, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.TROPHIES WILL BE AWARDED FOR ALL OF THESE CATEGORIES- People's Choice

- Best American Hero's Chili (SC Fire House, Police, US Armed Forces)
- PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD: Fans will be provided the opportunity of voting for their favorite chili via donations. The team with the most money raised by the end of the day will receive a special (and the largest) trophy. All teams are automatically entered for the People's Choice award. All proceeds from this event go directly to charity. This year's charities are Columbia's own CAMP KEMO (a program run by Palmetto Health), and The Disabilities Board Of Charleston County.
CAMP KEMO
The Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders at Palmetto Health Children's Hospital's most recognized program is CAMP KEMO, a weeklong summer camp for cancer patients ages 5-18 and their siblings. CAMP KEMO provides the children an opportunity to participate in typical fun activities in a safe, medically supervised setting. The fun times at CAMP KEMO lay important groundwork for future treatment as participants learn to trust, respect and relate to one another. CAMP KEMO is fully funded by community donations. Proceeds from the 25th Annual Group Therapy Chili Cookoff will be presented to Palmetto Health Foundation to benefit CAMP KEMO, a program of Palmetto Health Children's Hospital.
